“See What's Possible” Challenge

About the Challenge

Concept

For over 20 years, Adobe® Photoshop® software has allowed its users to push the boundaries of visual experience. What began as an engineering graduate student’s side project has evolved to become the industry gold standard in digital imaging and the most widely used creative product family in the world. Every day, users turn to Photoshop® applications to organize, refine, manipulate, and showcase digital images—often in ways never been seen before.

In partnership with Cut&Paste, Adobe now turns to our talented communities of graphic designers, web pros, photographers, animators, and motion graphics designers to offer a challenge: Compose an engaging animation or motion graphic video incorporating the Photoshop brand logo that illustrates the theme of “See What’s Possible.” We look for work that breaks new ground, work that is visually unbelievable and can be adapted for use in different (shorter) time increments. Above all, we look for a visual expression of the idea "Photoshop: See What's Possible." Submissions should not exceed 15 seconds in duration and should incorporate and close with the Photoshop See What’s Possible logo, and should be adaptable for different time increments. Submissions must predominantly employ Adobe® Photoshop®, Flash®, and/or After Effects® in their creation.

Five submissions will be chosen as Finalists by a panel of prestigious judges invited by Cut&Paste and Adobe®. Subsequently, Adobe will select one of those five finalists to be awarded the Grand Prize of $20,000 (USD) and Adobe® Creative Suite 3 Master Collection®. In addition to the Grand Prize, the winning submission will be featured in Adobe’s Photoshop® marketing campaigns.

In support of the challenge, all submissions will be publicly showcased on the Cut&Paste website where contestants may share information about their submissions and themselves with their fellow designers, recruiters, or fans. We hope the sharing of all the work will inspire us as much as the challenge itself. Additionally, all visitors may vote online for their favorite submissions for the People’s Choice Prize. The winner of the popular vote receives Adobe® Creative Suite 3 Master Collection®.
