“See What's Possible” Challenge

About the Challenge

Can multiple people team up to make a submission?

Yes, multiple people can create and submit a joint work. One member of that group must supply their contact information at registration time in order to act as the group's primary contact.

Can I submit more than one work?

Yes.

I already submitted my work, but forgot to include something in it, can I update the video?

No. Unfortunately, once a work has been submitted, it cannot be updated or revised. Since it would be unfair to allow people to alter their work according to community feedback. Once it has been posted, it's posted.

What file formats are accepted?

All works will be submitted via video sharing sites such as YouTube and Google Video. Simply upload your work to one of those sites and then supply Cut&Paste the associated embed tags (or "snag code") in the submission process.

IMPORTANT! If you are selected as a Finalist, you will be required to supply all source and authoring digital files in Adobe® software format. A work for which these files cannot be supplied becomes ineligible for winning.

What should the file dimensions be?

720x480 or 640x480 is acceptable.

What's the maximum duration that a work can be?

The maximum duration allowed for any work is fifteen (15) seconds.

What's the minimum duration that a work can be?

There is no minimum regarding the duration of a work.

Can I include audio in my work?

You can include audio (music, sound effects, etc) in your work and that sound or music may be considered during the judging process. Adobe also reserves the right to use the Grand Prize winning submission in their marketing with or without including audio tracks.

Is there a limit regarding the use of plugins?

You can use plugins in the creation of your work. After all, this is one of the advantages of CS3 architecture. However, the majority of each work must be executed within an Adobe application (Photoshop®, After Effects®, Flash®, etc).

Can you use third party applications in the creation of the work?

You can use third party applications in the creation of your work. However, the majority of each work must be executed within an Adobe application.

Can the work be dynamic or deploy randomization at runtime?

No, the work must be static in the sense that all of the imagery has been created and will not change each time the work is viewed. SWF files that include code that allows for loading external data sources or randomization of elements at runtime (as the work is being viewed) will not be accepted.

Can the work be interactive (require or be enhanced by user input)?

No, the work cannot contain any elements of user interactivity such as buttons, text fields, or mouse events. SWF files that include code that allows for capturing user input will not be accepted.
