I was just thinking, "is the Viewers choice award regulated in anyway?" What 'viewers' count as a vote? Does my mom, her mom, and best friends moms vote count?
It says "any registered users may add comments to any work or vote"
And what stops a person from creating a few dozen email accounts and voting for themselves?
Basically, I just want to understand how the winner will 'really' be judged....by honest viewers who think they're work is 'the best', or by who has the most email accounts and the most family and friends who take time to create a name and password just to vote for you?
Thanks for the quick reply guys! I realize now that I may have sounded a bit 'harpy' on the whole viewers choice thing, but I just wanted to know the deal and I come off sarcasitic quite often. Thanks for the info!
Since it is an open contest and everyone is welcome to register and vote, then, yes, your mother's, grandmother's and your best friend's mother's votes would count. We are regulating the voting by making it such that a registered user can only vote on any given submission once. Double opt-in email confirmation is being used during registration to help prevent spamming.
