“See What's Possible” Challenge

CLARIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY RE: CITIZENSHIP AND TEAMS

There have been a good number of questions regarding nationality and eligibility in the "See What's Possible" Challenge.

The passage below is from the "Eligibility" section of our web site (here):

"The challenge is open to all individuals age 18 years or older who hold citizenship in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, India, or Turkey. Teams, companies, and firms are allowed to enter a submission, but each submission must be accompanied by a primary contact that meets the eligibility criteria. Individuals may submit entries as individuals and/or as part of a team."

We do not desire to exclude anyone from the competition. That being said, in order to be eligible an individual must either be a citizen of one of the countries listed in our "Eligiblity" terms, or they must be a member of a team, company or firm that has an individual designated as the "primary contact" that meets the eligibility criteria. These terms have been shaped by various legal considerations and not a desire to prevent anyone from entering the contest.

So if your country is not listed in our Eligibility section, team up!

I understand, probably Cut&Paste don't have responsability on this one, but i think you should contact someone at Adobe and tell that Portugal and Spain have the same laws as Italy, Belgium, Germany,... I also noticed that even France is off the competition. How can i team up with a guy? I already made everything...

We came up with the "team-up" concept as a legal way to allow people from ineligible countries to participate. It's not ideal, but it's all we have at the moment.

Is a little bit strange that people that are not from the listed countries need to team up , i have my video ready but if i want to submit i need to share the prize if i won, i will be paying because i'm PORTUGUESE.

Why can't Portugal and Spain be there? is really hard to team up with people from other countries :/ i have a great concept, i already finished it but i'm portuguese. Is a little bit weird that Belgium and New Zealand are allowed and Portugal and Spain not or Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark and not Island. Please let us submit de videos.

could you further explain the "legal" reasons?, I´m quite intrigued. by the way, Miss Universe accepts all countries and they still give out cash and prizes...what´s up with that?.......and don´t get me started on other contests. I´m just wondering because it seems a bit funny that I spent good money taking courses at an "Adobe Authorized Training Center" and that I don´t have Adobe´s "authorization" to enter a freaking contest.

The reasons for excluding countries from eligibility are legal ones and related to individual countries' tax, copyright, and contest laws. Without being able to co-submit with someone from an eligible country, I am afraid that I don't know of another method for you to enter. Sorry.

Why are you closing doors for other countries? I have idea, "worse" citizenship and no possibilty to cooperate with anyone from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, India, or Turkey. What shall I do to get a chance?
